Research Use Only (RUO) Policy

This Research Use Only (“RUO”) Policy applies to products designated by GEL Labs as RUO on the product page, labeling, or accompanying materials. By purchasing or using RUO products from GEL Labs, you agree to the terms below.

1) Intended Purpose

RUO products offered by GEL Labs are intended only for laboratory and research applications, including basic research and analytical evaluation.

RUO products are not:

• intended for use in or on humans or animals

• intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical purposes

• intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease

• sold with dosing, administration, or medical guidance

GEL Labs does not provide instructions nor medical advice for human or veterinary use. Buyer is responsible for compliance. Products are not drugs or supplements. 

2) Customer Representations

When you purchase RUO products from GEL Labs, you represent that:

• you are purchasing for legitimate research purposes

• you will use, store, handle, and dispose of products in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and safe laboratory practices

• you will not use RUO products in or on humans or animals

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your intended use is lawful and appropriate. 

3) Verification and Order Review

To support responsible distribution and reduce misuse, GEL Labs may review orders and may request additional information to confirm that purchases are consistent with research use. This may include verification of account details and order information.

We may also use routine security and fraud-prevention measures (including device, network, and IP-related checks) to protect our store and customers.

GEL Labs reserves the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any order if we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that an order may be inconsistent with this policy or our Terms & Conditions. Sales are B2B in nature.

4) No Regulatory Evaluation; Risk Acknowledgement

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, RUO products offered by GEL Labs have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for medical use.

Improper use of research products can be hazardous. You acknowledge that you understand the intended-use restrictions described here and agree to follow them.

5) Misuse, Account Action, and Indemnification

If GEL Labs reasonably believes that an account or order is associated with prohibited use or misuse, we may take actions such as:

• canceling orders

• limiting quantities

• suspending or closing accounts

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GEL Labs and its affiliates, owners, and representatives from claims, damages, or losses arising from prohibited use, misuse, or violation of this policy or our Terms & Conditions.

6) Research Submissions

GEL Labs may offer optional ways for verified customers to share non-confidential research observations or feedback for general community reference. Participation is voluntary, and GEL Labs does not require submission of studies or results as a condition of purchase unless explicitly stated in a separate written program agreement.
